Two years ago, we adopted from little girl from Tianjin, China. She is six and still too young to understand the subtly in your story [Cookie]. She understood enough to ask me about the dragon… I explained [how she and the dragon are similar]. Even if she didn’t understand, I did. 你 (thank you) Gloria (and Sami) Vancouver, BC
My granddaughter called me on the telephone and read to me a list of ingredients. She wouldn’t tell me why, but she wanted to know that I had every one before she visited on Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving, when the family was shopping, we made oatmeal raisin cookies while reading your story. Thank you for that magical afternoon. “Gam-ma” Fitz – York, PA

Finally, new stories that challenge my students GT 5th graders that I can use in school because they are not all about drugs, sex and vampires. They are not more boy-in-the-woods adventure stories. They are modern, fresh, and make my students want to keep reading. The boys especially like them because they are exciting and funny. Well done… Write more, please. Cheryl [Pittsburg Public Schools]
Phillip [from The Bright Red Motor Cycle] was me as a kid! Thanks for the memories and for showing that ADHD is not a terrible life at all. It just makes school very difficult. Mike –Baltimore, MD
